For instance, during October, the SkyWheel shines bright pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It may seem like a simple gesture, but it is meant to honor those fighting the disease as well as raises awareness about the importance of early detection and support for breast cancer research.

In April, we dedicate multiple nights to lighting up in red, blue, and yellow to support Autism Awareness Month and the local Champion Autism Network (CAN), an organization that advocates for individuals and families affected by autism. With our partnership with CAN, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment, not just at SkyWheel but across the Myrtle Beach area.

Hands-On Community Involvement

Our commitment to the Myrtle Beach community goes far beyond what you see in the lights. SkyWheel crew members are passionate about giving back in practical, hands-on ways. You’ll often see us volunteering at local homeless shelters, organizing and participating in food drives, and spending time on the beach for monthly cleanups.

One of our most heartwarming events is the Waggin’ on the Wheel event. This special day allows pet lovers to adopt a furry friend and celebrate their new companion by bringing them aboard the SkyWheel. This event is in partnership with the Grand Strand Humane Society, a local nonprofit that helps animals in need find loving homes. Not only do we host this unique event, but SkyWheel also donates to the Humane Society, ensuring they have the resources to continue their vital work.
